Message put the pump into high speed mode regardless of throttle position for a predetermined amount of time. I recall when I listened to her car that the pump was changing speeds when she cracked the throttle a little, so it appears to me that at least that part of the control system is working properly. Even at 14V, the pump shouldn't make all that noise. Even with a ton of noise on the pump's power line, it isn't going to make it resonate like that, which leads me back to it having to be something mechanical.
